Budget Process Overview
In January and February of each year, department heads compile budget worksheets for matierals and services for their respective departments. The Finance Director and City Manager meet with each department head to discuss budget requirements and formulate a draft for submission to the Finance Committee. At the end of March, the Finance Committee reviews the proposed budget and make its recommendation. The Finance Director submits a draft of the budget to the City Council in April.
The Public Hearing on the proposed 2014-15 Budget will be held on May 12, 2014 at 7:00 pm.
The 2013-14 Budget and tax rate adoption will take place at the Council meeting held on May 19, 2014 at 7:00 pm.
